Vivian Mitchell has presented her illustrious blues, greens, reds, and yellows boldly within the universal garden of colors. Her distinctive painting style is fully developed, marked by a technical mastery. Beauty exists in a profound expression on the faces of her sculptures, ceramics, murals, the braiding of a lady's hair. Vivian uses the universal canvas in order to experience color in complete harmony. Her artistic life accents passion, fervor and instinct. It is indeed illustrated in her many extraordinary work.

Vivian was introduced to art at a very young age. She is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts. She has been a resident of coastal Georgia since 1986 and actively supports the art community as a participant in cultural events. Vivian enjoys drawing, painting and sculpting. She constantly experiments different mediums and techniques. "If inspiration and a happy response are evoked, then I have achieved my goal."
